FT.C was delighted to be the official sponsor of the the Vale Women's Business Network's (VWBN) event, Women in Public Life at the Senedd in Cardiff Bay on Wednesday 15 October 2008.

Hosted by Jane Hutt AM, Minister for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills and VWBN patron, this high profile event explored and discussed what being a woman in public life means; why women are under represented and what can be done to rectify this imbalance.

Joining Jane Hutt were: Lorraine Barratt AM; Kate Bennett, Director of Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC); Sophie Howe, Political Advisor, EHRC and former councillor for Cardiff North; and Jill Penn, Chair of Vale Health Trust.

FT.C's Director Fiona Thomas said, "The VWBN continues to be one of the most successful women's business networks in Europe. FT.C is a committed member of the network and very proud to be associated with its work in promoting entrepreneurial skills and business support to women business owners in South Wales."
